South African winelands tour · April 2027

The South African Winelands are a captivating region in the Western Cape: a must-visit for any wine enthusiast seeking breathtaking landscapes and rich history. A tapestry of rolling vineyards, majestic mountains and charming Cape Dutch architecture await. Join us for a spectacular 10 night wine tour like no other - we'll be including a visit to Cape Town and Table Mountain and a safari too!

Our tour will begin in Chester and we'll take our guests on our luxury Club Class coach with our on board VIP Wine Tours service of South Africa's Method Cap Classique sparkling wine to London's Heathrow airport to board our British Airways direct flight to Cape Town. The World Traveller return flights are included in the cost of the tour and guests can choose to upgrade to Premium Economy, Club World or First* with our travel partner Bond Travel of Lymm (*subject to upgrade availability). Whilst our overnight flight will allow time to sleep, our first day is yours to enjoy or take a day to relax after our previous day's travel.

With a winemaking history dating back to the 17th century, the region boasts a diverse range of award-winning wines, from crisp Sauvignon Blancs and more complex Chenin Blancs to sensational Pinot Noirs and robust, full flavoured Pinotages. Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl are the major towns, each with their own unique character. The Winelands is a foodie paradise, with many wine estates offering gourmet food and wine pairings. You'll also find excellent restaurants serving everything from traditional South African dishes to international cuisine. We'll include the lesser known regions of Elgin and Swartland too. The tour highlight will be a visit and Michelin star lunch at the acclaimed La Petite Ferme Wine Estate in the region's foodie capital, Franchhoek - many if our wine school guests have been introduced to their sensational wines over the last few years!
